The eight-story building on the edge of North Bergen opened 20 years ago as the headquarters of Liz Claiborne Inc., the fashion giant now known as Kate Spade & Co.
These days, a new owner and a team of brokers are hoping to attract new tenants to the 300,000-square-foot office property — anyone looking for a reinvigorated space that has a bright, open feel and the brick accents of New York City’s Chelsea Market.
The landlord, Real Capital Solutions, has rebranded the building as WestSide Center after acquiring it from Kate Spade in 2013 and making a series of capital improvements. The fashion company has consolidated its space and leased back 107,000 square feet, leaving brokers with Cushman & Wakefield to market about two-thirds of the property.
