Local Restaurant Wins Open Table Award

2015-08-26_11-03-54Congratulations to Rebecca’s Cuban and Caribbean Restaurant for winning Open Table‘s 2015 Diner’s Choice Award!

Located at 236 Old River Road in Edgewater, Rebecca’s has been serving Bergen County since 1997 with homemade Cuban & Caribbean Cuisine prepared by Honduras born and Cuban trained Chef Noe Borjas. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and openTuesday through Saturday: 5:30 to 10 pm  Sunday: 4 to 9 pm.

All the food is made from fresh ingredients that are bought locally and Rebecca’s is, as always, a BYO establishment. The backyard garden remains a hidden outdoor treat for dining during the summer months.

Although they are a BYO,  Villa Milagro Vineyards now offers its wines for your enjoyment at Rebecca’s. Villa Milagro Vineyards’ ten varieties of grapes are blended to express the best of each variety, creating complex and interesting wines.

From the New York Times review:

WHEN asked about what I like in a restaurant, I generally talk about those that are continually fiddling with ingredients available only at a specific time of year. But that said, I hope Rebecca’s never changes its menu. Or at the very least that the jerk chicken skewers, camarones con mojo, cumin-cilantro red snapper, and caramel flan are here to stay, whatever the season. I want to enjoy them every time I go there.

Rebecca’s is the type of place in which you will want to become a regular if you aren’t one already: you can nestle into a window seat or around a small table (pairs or even solo diners are comfortable here) and recall the menu after one visit.
