Franco’s Metro Restaurant & Bar is hosting its annual celebration of local growers and New Jersey’s favorite produce with a mini tomato festival from July 31 – August 6, 2017. Guests will be treated to a variety of nightly specials featuring locally grown, Jersey tomato produce on items like Jersey Tomato summer sauce, homemade pasta dishes, soups with fresh herbs, throwback recipe favorites, and newly inspired dishes.
“It’s a mini tomato festival, if you will” stated longtime restaurant manager Gene Bazzarelli, the son of the Italian eatery’s namesake, Franco.
The festivities coincide with the nationally recognized Family Fun Month and National Night Out in August. Guests are invited to make reservations and find out about specials by calling the restaurant in advance.
Franco’s Metro, a family-run business, has served the Fort Lee and surrounding community for over 40 years. The Zagat-rated restaurant has earned awards on TripAdvisor, OpenTable, and more. It offers space for over 95 guests and party attendees and features a full bar, pizzeria, and take out, delivery, and catering order options.
