NY WATERWAY ADDS FREE GORGE ROAD BUS SERVICE TO BUS NETWORK SERVING PORT IMPERIAL FERRY TERMINAL

NY Waterway has added free bus service for Gorge Road residents, taking them to the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal in Weehawken.

800_Port_Imperial_305__JPreschel-5Buses are running approximately every 20 minutes Monday through Friday between 5:25 a.m. and 9:40 a.m., picking up ferry passengers along Gorge Road from River Road to Walker Street.  Homebound service is available at Port Imperial from 4:10 p.m. to 8:40 p.m., taking commuters for the short ride back to Gorge Road.

At Port Imperial, commuters can make the eight-minute Hudson River Crossing to Manhattan’s West 39th Street Ferry Terminal, with ferries departing every 10 minutes during morning and evening rush hour and every 20 minutes at other times.  At West 39th Street, free NY Waterway buses are waiting to take passengers on several routes in Manhattan.

There also is rush hour service between Port Imperial and Brookfield Place/Battery Park City and Pier 11/Wall Street, both in Lower Manhattan.

NY Waterway’s free Bus Locator App, available on computers or hand-held devices, tells commuters in real time exactly where their bus is, reducing the time spent waiting for a bus.  Visit the App Store or nywaterway.com.
