LONG TIME NEW JERSEY REAL ESTATE DEVELOPER FORMS NEW FIRM TO CAPITALIZE ON ROBUST HUDSON COUNTY HOUSING MARKET

Louis Mont, a real estate builder/developer with 40 years of experience on New Jersey’s Hudson River Gold Coast, announced today the formation of a new entity that’s well-suited to capitalize on Hudson County’s robust housing market.

Lou Mont HeadshotNamed Skyline Development Group, LLC, the new firm will leverage Mr. Mont’s four decades of experience in urban construction and operations and special outside relationships with prominent financial institutions, development partners, and municipal and state agencies, to acquire, develop, and manage multi-family real estate assets.   The company will focus its efforts on mixed-use and high-rise development opportunities in key New Jersey Gold Coast cities where his expertise in design and development, marketing, leasing, occupancy and management can be employed.

Mr. Mont will lead Skyline Development Group as Chief Executive Officer and has assembled a valued team of key employees with whom he has worked with on previously successful projects in Hoboken and Jersey City.

Skyline Development Group has launched, with the acquisition of a fully approved 14-story project that will deliver 70 boutique & unique condominiums to 8701 Churchill Road in North Bergen, New Jersey.   The locally-based company has secured $55.5 million in financing for the building from Mosaic Real Estate Investors, which maintains offices in Calabasas, California and New York City.   Jonathan Aghravi of New York City-based JBA Equities served as broker for the transaction.

Construction is slated to begin in September for the yet-to-be-named development located just off River Road.   The property will be a stark contrast to larger for-sale waterfront buildings in Edgewater and Weehawken by providing a more intimate and personalized living environment.  Homes will boast floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies to maximize spectacular views, from every unit, stretching across the Hudson River to the New York City skyline. A suite of customized, resident-only amenities will include a fully outfitted spa experience with a fitness center, steam, sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, carbon tank as well as shower and locker facilities.

Prior to the creation of Skyline Development Group, Mr. Mont was the Chief Operating Officer of a Jersey City-based company which has built over 600 luxury rental units in several Jersey City high-rise buildings in recent years.  Mont, as a partner in these projects, was responsible for overseeing all operations, including construction, marketing, leasing and management of these offerings.  Each of those buildings were the recipients of numerous New Jersey Builder Association Sales & Marketing Awards, including several prestigious awards for “Best Rental Building in New Jersey, Over Two Hundred Units,” as well as acknowledgement for the Best Marketing Strategy, Best Leasing Team, Best Leasing Office and Best Website.

In addition to the North Bergen project, Skyline Development Group has already secured property rights to develop a 350-unit project in Jersey City’s up-and-coming Bergen Lafayette neighborhood and anticipates additional future projects to follow
