Mr. Human described his thought process behind the décor in the home up for the recognition.
“This private residence was a very interesting as we had more freedom to incorporate our design. The client wanted a high end homey feeling without being overly modern but displaying collections of things which we curated for him. We were involved in every aspect down to the flatware and even creating all custom artwork throughout the apartment. There are several custom/one-of-a-kind pieces we specially designed for him including the master bedroom bed, desk and shelving in office, mirrors, all the rugs, all the drapes and all of the art. We used wall-coverings in each room to unify the space and give it more texture and opulence versus a plain painted wall. In the office we even designed a floor to ceiling leather wall-covering that includes hand stitching details.”
