Halifax, the signature waterfront restaurant at the W Hoboken, has been named one of USA TODAY’s 10Best Top 20 Hotel Restaurants in America, earning national recognition for its seasonally driven menu, locally sourced ingredients and sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.
The honor places Halifax among just 20 hotel restaurants nationwide selected by a panel of USA TODAY 10Best travel experts. Supporters can help Halifax earn a place in the Top 10 by voting once per day through August 10 on the USA TODAY 10Best website. The winners will be announced on August 19.
“To be recognized as one of USA Today’s Top 20 restaurants is an incredible honor,” said general manager Weng Lee. He added, “Halifax has always been driven by Chef Seadon’s vision of celebrating the Northeast through thoughtful, seasonal cooking and letting exceptional ingredients speak for themselves. Every dish reflects that philosophy, and our front-of-house team works just as hard to make every guest feel genuinely welcome. This nomination is a wonderful recognition of the passion and care that goes into every service. We’re grateful to our guests for embracing what Halifax is all about and for allowing us to be part of so many memorable moments.”
The USA TODAY 10Best panel praised Halifax for its commitment to regional ingredients and distinctive dining experience, noting that guests can enjoy “Northeastern coastal delicacies paired with views of the Manhattan skyline.”

Led by Executive Chef Seadon Shouse, Halifax celebrates the flavors of the Northeast by sourcing ingredients from regional fishermen and farmers and transforming them into an ingredient-driven menu that reflects the area’s coastal heritage.
“At Halifax, we’ve always believed that great restaurants are built on authenticity,” said Chef Shouse. “We make as much as we can in-house, we cook with the seasons, we support local producers, and we want every guest to feel like they’ve discovered a place they’ll come back to again and again. To be recognized on a national stage for that philosophy is incredibly rewarding.”
