Halifax has unveiled its exquisite Thanksgiving offerings with a menu designed to delight the palate. Executive Chef Seadon Shouse has created an elevated holiday feast that honors Thanksgiving traditions from local heritage turkey and pecan challah stuffing to braised lamb shank, Nova Scotia halibut and freshly baked pies. Guests can enjoy the celebration at Halifax overlooking the Hudson or bring the restaurant’s Thanksgiving culinary feast home.

Executive Chef Seadon Shouse has created a Thanksgiving Day prix fixe menu that combines the flavors everyone looks forward to on Thanksgiving with some distinct Halifax twists. The three-course dinner is $85 per person and $45 for children 12 and under and will be served from 1 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 26.

Halifax has unveiled its exquisite Thanksgiving offerings with a menu designed to delight the palate.

“Thanksgiving has traditional foods that everyone loves but that doesn’t mean you can’t have add in new flavors to vary the taste of a traditional celebration,” said Shouse. “And the local fresh variety of vegetables and legumes make this a hearty and healthy meal.”

Guests begin with a choice of Harvest Salad, with roasted squash, watercress, beets, pecans, feta and cranberry vinaigrette; Potato Leek Soup, with leek ash oil and smoked ham; Tuna Crudo, with pickled cucumber and jalapeño, puffed rice and kelp emulsion; or Turkey Confit & Vegetable Tart, with pear-apple chutney and scallion yogurt.

Entrée choices include Local Heritage Turkey Breast, served with pecan challah stuffing, sweet potato duchess, confit leg and cranberry chutney; Sweet Potato Cavatelli, with grilled poblano, shaved Brussels sprouts, Gulf shrimp and house-made nduja; Braised Lamb Shank, with couscous, roasted cauliflower, pickled pearl onions and crispy kale; and Nova Scotia Halibut, with Carolina Gold rice, butternut squash, Brussels leaves and red pepper emulsion.

Family-style sides keep some of Thanksgiving’s most beloved dishes on the table, including Pumpkin Mac & Cheese with crispy shallots, Herb Roasted Fall Vegetables, and Mashed Potatoes with turkey gravy and chives.

For dessert, guests can choose a Fresh Pie Trio of apple, pumpkin and bourbon pecan with whipped cream and spiced crème anglaise, or Fall Leaves Panna Cotta, with lemon, maple, cranberry, fluff, gluten-free shortbread crumble and whipped cream. Special Thanksgiving bottles of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir will be available for $40.
